Module 2: Task 1 – Introduction & Dialogue Video
(10 Minutes)
In this dialogue two UN Peacekeepers, Alain and William, are driving in a truck to take pallets of water bottles to a town center for distribution.
Alain: Where do we need to go to distribute this water?
William: We need to get to the center of town.
Alain: Do you know which direction to go?
William: Yes, follow this road going north and then turn left near the hospital and go west towards the school. Continue west until you reach the town hall.
Alain: How far is it?
William: It’s 3 kilometers. We will need to find a safe place to park the truck and unload the pallets when we arrive.
Alain: Did you fill up the tank with fuel?
William: Yes, I refueled it this morning.
Alain: I should drive slowly because there are so many people near the road.
William: That’s a good idea.
Alain: This is a good place to stop and unload these pallets of water bottles. I see so many people coming to get fresh water.
William: Please, wait! We will give you water soon. Please wait here.
Alain: How many water bottles do we need to distribute today?
William: We need to unload 3 pallets here. Then we need to drive back and get 3 more to take to another town nearby.
Alain: Let’s get started!
